ANNOUNCEMENTS
new CAUTION! Please DO NOT drive out of the entrance to Schoolcraft! That is a one-way, and has a high probability for a severe accident. Even if you are in a hurry, it is not worth the risk to go out the entrance. Also, please drive slowly on the CLV roads. There are very often people walking/jogging on the road, along with the oncoming traffic. Thanks for your dedication to the safety of all!

new WELCOME to our new families!
We are excited to have you join our community! Please don't hesitate to call us with any questions you may have.

new LOST AND FOUND
There is some "lost and found" that was retained from the last couple of days of school... including a few lunch boxes, jackets and some other items. The lost and found will be kept at the summer office through August. It WILL NOT be moved back to the school. Please call us at 586-3284 if you would like to sift through the goods.

new SUMMER OFFICE
Our summer office is up and running. We are again housed at the Gilfillan Center in the Lemoine Cottage (on 15th Street by the bus garage). Our phone number is still 586-3284. We are generally in the office Monday through Thursday, 9-3.

new YEARBOOKS
If you didn't get a yearbook and still want one, please contact Shar. They are $8 and we still have a few left.

new LUNCH BALANCES
Please make an effort to take care of lunch balances by June 30 if at all possible. That is our fiscal year-end. Notices were sent out with report cards earlier this month, but you can call or stop by the office for your balance if you need it. Thanks for your help!

new SLC ANNUAL SUMMER POTLUCK PICNIC
The Schoolcraft Learning Community Annual Summer Potluck Picnic is scheduled for Sunday, August 17 from 1:30-3:30 pm. We have reserved the picnic pavilion at Diamond Point Park this year. Plan to come with a dish to share, reconnect with fellow Schoolcrafters, and meet new faces. You will also receive your forms and information packets! Please mark it on your calendar now and cross your fingers for good weather!

new FAMILY HANDBOOK INPUT MEETINGS
We would like your input! We are due to review and update our family handbook. We have scheduled two options for your convenience. Monday, July 14 from 4:00-5:00 pm or Tuesday, July 15 from 12:00-1:00 pm. Both meetings will take place at the summer office. We would really appreciate your participation.

Please remember to contact the office at 586-3284 with changes in address or phone numbers. We will need current physical addresses for busing routes in August. Also, please let us know if your email address has changed. We frequently use email for school communication purposes.

Schoolcraft lunches are wonderful! Just a reminder that the charge is $3.00 per day for students and $3.40 for adults. Pre-payment is appreciated, but not mandatory. Feel free to pay by the week, bi-weekly, or by the month, whichever is more convenient for you. Please return the application for educational benefits to Shar as soon as possible if you feel you may qualify for free or reduced lunches. This is not a retroactive program, so if we don't receive the form, you will be responsible for the charges incurred. Thank you!

Just a reminder... school beings at 8:50am. Any arrivals after 8:50 are considered tardy, and parents must come and sign in their children. Three tardies convert into one unexcused absence, as stated in our family handbook. Please let Shar know if you need another copy of the handbook. Students should also not be dropped off before 8:30am, and should be picked up no later than 3:00pm. We do not have the supervisory staff to monitor children before and after these times. Please also note that we do need a phone call or a note to excuse an absence from school. Thank you for your cooperation.
