We’re excited to once again partner with GiveMN for Give to the Max Day, a statewide celebration of generosity that lifts up schools and nonprofits across Minnesota. Give to the Max Day is on November 20, but donations can be given any time before or after the day itself. This event gives our community a chance to come together as Crew and support the work we do every day at SLC.
Your generous support helps us continue offering the rich, hands-on learning experiences that define our school. Donations directly strengthen our Crew by supporting teachers and specialists, outdoor education, Indigenous learning, and the fieldwork that brings learning to life beyond our walls. Every contribution ensures students have the materials, experiences, and support they need to grow academically, socially, and creatively.
If you’re able, please consider donating this year. You can also support our efforts by sharing our fundraiser with friends, family, and SLC alumni who may want to stay connected and give back to the community that shaped them.
We’re looking ahead to several important projects, including building improvements, expanded classroom supplies, and other enhancements that will make a meaningful difference for our students. Your generosity helps turn these goals into real opportunities for our Crew.
Thank you for being part of our community and for investing in our students & remember, We Are Crew!
What is Give to the Max Day?
Give to the Max Day was created in 2009 to launch GiveMN, a collaborative venture led by the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation and many other organizations committed to helping make our state a better place. That initial spark touched off an outpouring of generosity — $14 million in 24 hours. Celebrating its 17th anniversary in 2025, Give to the Max Day has become Minnesota’s annual giving holiday, raising $300 million in its first 16 years. Every year, thousands of organizations and individuals generate donations and excitement for Minnesota causes that are working to improve the quality of life for all Minnesotans. Give to the Max Day has become a national model for giving days.
“For many nonprofits and schools, Give to the Max is their biggest fundraiser of the year and
your support is essential to helping power their work for the year ahead,” said Jenna Ray,
executive director and CEO of GiveMN.
